In this episode of That '90s Comic:
We learn a little more about the Tamagotchi. We also learn about Mr. Edwards' temper.
Fun fact: Mr. Edwards once made G (the cartoonist) stand on a table in front of the class—then pushed him across it. Not sure what the plan was, but the teacher did try to catch G before he hit the ground. Unfortunately, his reflexes were a little delayed… probably thanks to whatever was in that cup.
Anyway, G suffered no serious injuries, but Mr. Edwards was fired a couple of days later. True story.
Why was G asked to stand on the table? Well, he incorrectly answered 1619 when asked what year Jan van Riebeeck arrived in South Africa. As we all know, 1619 was the year Jan van Riebeeck was born. What a loser. How did G not know that? Honestly, I think he deserved to be pushed off a building.
Anyway, this comic gets a 40/69.
